DANCEPL3Y With Roxane Letterlough September 2024
I was privileged to attend DANCEPL3Y with Roxane last semester while she was co-teaching the Indigenous course at the beginning of the Fall semester. Although I am in atrocious shape, I had a blast taking this workshop! We got exposed to some wonderful music written and performed by school kids in Canada as well as Indigenous music. We got to be grouse, grass, Fancy Dancers, and much more. It was really interesting to experience the Indigenous dances firsthand and get to try them. I wasn’t looking forward to doing it at the beginning because of my lack of ability but I was happily engaged as much as I could be and I felt better after doing so. I would highly recommend taking this workshop if it becomes available to you!
