This mathematics course will be a very valuable tool to take into our classrooms. Anthoney has made math accessible to everyone by adding games and other fun assessments to get students engaged in the learning all while doing math. Math and I were always on good terms (well, most of the time!) but this course has given me the confidence and tools to make sure that I am well prepared and able to take on the challenges that students will throw at me. We work in a lot of small groups and often they are randomly selected groups. In the beginning that was hard even as adults but I do see the reasoning behind it in making sure that students do not become complacent. Doing little things to shake things up in a class can add an element of being removed from a comfort zone in which the best learning happens. This course, plus the addition of the current one, will be an immense help in my career as an educator. I want to make sure that my students are learning and being supported rather than confused, frustrated, and feeling alone.
