This assignment was again one that I was thinking to myself, “What? What am I going to do as a creative assignment for PE??” Tatiana proved me wrong again in that this helped me see patterns in myself and how I can feel better when I’m down and out in life. As I look outside at the beautiful sunshine, I’m reminded that this is the time of year to get outside and enjoy that glowing orb in the sky. It also makes me think of how important it is to get students outside and into the fresh air rather than endless hours in a stuffy, hot classroom. Children need to thrive to learn and this is directly related to the notion of place-based learning and its importance to education. Sometimes just a change in scenery helps the mind work better and learn more whether that be just into another room such as the library, or going outside to examine things out there. Push those dark times away and go explore!
